John in front of the power wheel for the Basler Papiermüle, or Paper Museum. There was a bunch of equipment there that once was used by Gutenberg. Sounds boring, but it's a graphic designer's dream.
Gigi also loved the demonstration of cast type. There is this really fascinating alloy used to cast type that instantly hardens if it is removed from it's smelt pot. The demonstrator poured some molten alloy on the counter and then was able to instantly pick it up with tongs as a solid amoeba-shaped piece.
