After our last sweaty, humid ride in a closed-window Swiss train bound for France, Jean-Pierre picked us up at Gare de l'Est in Paris. JP is a good friend of my brother who brings JP over to the States when he needs JP to help him out with any special faux or decorative finishes.
Though we stayed at a flat in Jean-Pierre's house in le Pecq, we hardly saw him that week. He had just gotten the keys to a new house he was renting and spent the greater part of the week getting it ready for his family, Sylvie and Lucille. Despite this, he saw that we were well taken care of; we had the apartment right next to his work studio with shower, kitchen, and high-speed Internet access. That was très cool. We did see JP at the end of the week at the toga party held at the house.
