Another of our trademark self-point and shoot photos. We had to occupy our time while waiting for an hour on the second platform of the Tour Eiffel to get to the top—and this is after waiting an hour on the ground just to get up this far.
Going to the Tour Eiffel is obligatory for first-time tourists; but now that we've been to the top, we don't need to do it again. The lines are too long, and though the view is impressive (it was an unusually clear day for us), everything is just too far away and small to appreciate. That, and neither of us is a crowd-loving person—especially crowds of tourists all demanding to be first and get to the edge.
