We missed being able to go up in the towers by about 45 seconds. We were inside the church looking for the entrance to the towers only to find out it was outside to the left of the cathedral—we rounded the corner just as they put up the rope to close the towers.

Inside the cathedral we saw them holding mass. And we saw and heard the tourists who were talking and taking photos all the while, despite being asked not to.
